Whose up for some mind numbing, snack inducing, nail biting television?
No, I don’t mean Grey’s Anatomy which I’ve heard is having quite the season {I don’t watch because I’d be sucked in and surely be in the fetal position in a corner by now crying my eyes out}. Â What I’m referring to is that fun little weekend past time that rolls around every fall…football.
A couple weeks ago Mr took our 6 year old with him to a BYU game while we all sulked at home. Â Apparently they were a good luck charm because BYU won that night, which is the understatement of the century. Â Tomorrow they have another game which will undoubtedly keep us glued to the television watching and when I say we I mean Mr, the boys, and me on my computer peeking around if it starts to get interesting.
While I’m not always interested in what’s happening on television I do like the snacks. Â I made this Buffalo Hummus for the Super Bowl and it is one of my favorites. Â Not only does it have cheese but it’s got a little kick from the buffalo sauce too.
Ingredients
- 1 – 15 oz can white beans
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup buffalo sauce or marinade (I used KC Masterpiece)
- 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
Instructions
- In a food processor combine the first four ingredients and blend until creamy. Add the blue cheese crumbles and pulse a few times. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

I am all over this Krista!
I’ve recently become hummus-obsessed, and this one sounds really freaking good!
This sounds fabulous!
This is so unique – I love it!! And I’m all about the food, too, not always the football!
This sounds great, fantastic dip for a party!
This sounds perfect for a game day snack.
Just made this. I doubled the garlic and did add about 1/4 – 1/3 cup of tahini. I also used garbanzos instead of white beans. Absolutely delicious.
