I have been wanting an excuse to make this for for-ev-er.
I finally got my excuse…Alphabet Summer! Â Although I’m pretty sure I’ll be making them like every movie night from now until eternity just because.
They took only minutes to put together and about the same amount of time to devour. Â Best part, besides the sugar high that comes with eating candy wrapped in more candy, was the excitement on the boys faces once they saw it put together. Â They had an “aha” moment.
Second best part…as soon as mr got home the kids showed him some of the leftovers and he said, and I quote, “That’s really smart. Â Did you come up with that?”
To which I replied, “No. Â I wish I had though.”
And then he said….wait for iiiiiiiiittttttt…
“Oh. Â Well it sounds like something you would come up with. Â I like it.”
Smooch, smooch, smooch. Â That’s me planting slobbery kisses all over him because he thinks I’m so clever.
I should have lied and said I came up with it. Â Oh well. Â My conscience is clean and the sugar high is starting to wear off. Â Time to make some more.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 3 cups rice krispies
- 1 - 6 oz bag gummy worms
- 3 Fruit by the Foot
Instructions
- Over medium heat melt the butter and add the marshmallows. Stir until completely melted.
- Add the rice krispies and stir until coated.
- Press into a cookie sheet lined with plastic wrap. Allow to cool slightly.
- Make two rows of gummy worms along the longest side. Pick up the plastic wrap and use it to press and roll the rice krispie treat into a log. Pinch the seam and cut off the excess.
- Unwrap the fruit by the foot, lay it out flat, and wrap it around the rolled rice krispie once. Trim where the fruit by the foot meet, pinch closed, and repeat until the entire roll is covered.
- Using a serrated knife slice into 1" slices and serve.
Notes
I got one full roll out of this recipe but I over wrapped it a bit so you could probably get two rolls.

What a fun treat! These are so adorable.
So adorable!!
Oh my gosh! How freaking cute is that? I can’t wait to make some with my nephew. Once he can eat solids, of course.
This is so cool!!!! I’m totally trying this out this week!!!
I have no idea what alphabet summer is, but I have a good idea that candy wrapped in candy is definitely a hit for the kids! If this wasn’t your idea, then who’s was it? I need to personally thank them. lol!
I’ve been wanting to make this candy sushi foreeeever too! You reminded me… now I just need to actually DO IT!
How adorable! My Hubbyman always asks me the same thing too! Gotta love ‘em.
Genius! Well even though it wasn’t your idea, you executed very well!! One of the unique sushi I’ve seen before!
YUMMY! Can’t wait to try!
Did I tell you we made it with the vanilla rice (not rice crispy)? It was good with the fresh fruit and Aidan loved it (calls it Frushi) but it was a MESS to make LOL! Just bought a little mat the other day to try again and see if I can do a better job. Love this idea with the treats! (And seeing your cute boys!) xo
Looks like so much fun and such a cute idea!
Thanks Sandy! The kids loved them!
