What is it about a grocery store that turns little boys into monsters?
A trip to the grocery store can turn the most mild mannered, well behaved child into a crazy maniac bounding down the aisles, asking “Can I have that?” every 30 seconds.
Kid catnip. There is no other explanation.
As you can imagine I had a delightful experience this weekend as my four boys and I ventured into the grocery. Together. All of us. At the same time. By myself.

Garlicky Sweet Potato Fries with Blue Cheese
They say opposites attract.
It must be true. There are SO many things that I like that mr doesn’t.
For example, I LOVE mushrooms. Like “I could eat a whole pan of mushrooms sauteed in butter and onions and call it a meal” love.
Mr…not so much.

Triple Chocolate Hot Mess Cake

Only a couple weeks into January and I’m already tempting you to ditch your resolutions.

Don’t even try to resist this one. Just add a few {hundred} extra minutes to your workout this week. You won’t be sorry. Your family will love you. Birds will sing. Flowers will bloom. The sun will shine. Rainbows will appear.
All because you made this.
This recipe was shared by a neighbor in our neighborhood cookbook.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl mix all of the ingredients except the chocolate chips until thoroughly incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
