If I make these I simply can not stop eating them.
Really.
I could have just eaten a four course dinner, with dessert, and a roll and I would still want to eat these.
I think my family feels the same way. Â We all love a good snack and these did not last long when I made them for Super Bowl Sunday. Â In fact, we were all hovering over the bowl like vultures trying to make sure no one was taking more than their share.
Hmmm. Â Maybe I should give everyone their own bowl next time.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tblsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 bag Corn Pops (6-7 oz) found in the chip aisle
- cinnamon to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 225°
- Pour the corn pops into a large bowl.
- In a medium saucepan bring the butter, sugar, and water to a boil. Boil for 3 1/2 minutes. Stop just as it turns brown and is caramelizing.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Pour mixture over the corn pops, tossing until thoroughly coated. Pour onto a baking sheet and spread out evenly.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly and serve.

My mother in law makes something similar to these, and I’ve always wanted to make some. I don’t think hers has cinnamon though, and I love that yours does!!

Knowing how easy they are is such a bad thing…but it’s so fun being bad! The batch I made to “shoot” was gone before mr got home so it was his special request for Superbowl. I’m sure yours will be as happy as mine!
